Really only Living World Season 1 is unobtainable, although they did reintroduce some content from it earlier this year. Tanking is litterally useless outside of raids, and agro is effectively random. The devs stated the best players litterally do 10x the damage with the same gear. Gw2 can also be seen as more skill reliant due to the necessity of rotations for close to maximum dps and other things. Boons in gw2 provide huge dps increase, so its worth it to have a few class dedecated to giving boons. no content has really been removed since. The removed content was Lws1, something they stopped doing since as replayability is great. Gw2 does have a trinity for endgame, it just isnt the traditional trinity.

No kill stealing, everyone is rewarded when they participated, everyone can revive, everyone can harvest nodes and all professions have some synergy. The community is very open and friendly to new players mainly because there is no competition between players over things.

Except in wvw there is no zerg in endgame, raids are for 10 players, instanced content is for 5 players and the rest can be done solo. We still have a trinity but it is more of a soft one than a hard one because in GW2 potentially any profession can be a tank or a healer but not every profession will do an equally good job. The other content is available constantly with the exception of the festival events of course.

That was living world season 1 which is not available currently but there was an update that made certain story missions available again. AFAIK even GW1 doesn't have steam achievements.Īfter release the game got content updates which were only available for a certain time before being removed from the game. Actually I don't think that there will be any steam integrations like achievements and those things but rather that it is only available on steam.
